What you need:
The Mini: 510 meters of worsted-weight yarn cotton yarn. The yarn is held double throughout, you’ll need at least 255meters per strand. Crochet hook: 5mm crochet hook.
The Shoulder: 1200 meters of worsted-weigh cotton yarn. The yarn is held double throughout, you’ll need at least 600 meters per strand. Crochet hook: 5mm crochet hook.
Bag measurements (approximate):
The Mini Dumpling Bag:
Width at widest point: 29cm / 11.5 inches
Length body of the bag (not including the base): 15cm/ 6 inches
Length the strap: 16cm / 6 inches
The Shoulder Dumpling Bag:
Width at widest point: 38 - 40 cm / 15 - 16 inches
Length body of the bag (not including the base): 28cm / 11 inches
Length the strap: 15cm / 10 inches
Kindly note the length of the body of the bag & the straps are adjustable!

This is a well-written pattern that is easy to follow. The step-by-step photos are clear and make each stage easy to understand. It’s also easy to adapt to any yarn type, as the pattern explains how long the starting foundation chain should be.
I added a lining after creating the pleats, along with a crocheted edging around the opening on both sides.

Thank you for this wonderful pattern. I chose to make a scrappy version with navy consistently throughout as one of the strands. The final product is beautiful.The pattern is written for a striped version and I modified the pattern for the straps. It may be helpful to have an alternative way to do the straps for scrappy versions; I just kept turning my work and crocheting back and forth until I had the length I needed. The pattern was well written and again, I am in love with my dumpling bag!
